Holiday Party 2001

December 2, Yankee Silversmith Inn

'Twas three weeks before Christmas at the Silversmith Inn.

Chapter 27 gathered, both members and kin.

The conversation was hearty, the laughter contagious,

The food was quite grand and the gifts were outrageous.

Fran read us some letters, sent from the kids.
Ray Morgan got special attention for his.

Steve welcomed us all in his warm, homey style.
And Jim shepherded the gifts giving everyone a smile.
You opened a gift, then gave it away
but the thing that you snatched still might not stay.

Joe Gauthier opened a glittering biplane
that wouldn't stay put—it kept flying again.

Some things were fancy and some things were plainer.
Pity the poor soul who got the sink strainer.
But still it was a night of good cheer.
So Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!
