Congratulations to our 2024 Ray Scholar Anthony Ortiz on his first solo here at Meriden-Markham Airport. Way to go Anthony! Anthony is learning to fly through the Civil Air Patrol.

Chapter 27 is very proud of his accomplishments. In addition to earning Ray Scholar, Anthony found an aviation club at his high school. That club just received the donation of a BATD flight simulator. He helps out at all our Chapter events, in particular, our Young Eagles rallies. He has become a very professional aircraft marshal!
